Hi, everyone!
I am pleased to say I am starting my 31st year here at St. Augustin!
I am glad to be here, and I hope you all had a good summer!
Here are the beginning topics we will cover this year.

Religion:
We Praise and Worship God
Language Arts:
character and plot, word structure, 4 kinds of sentences, writing trait: voice
Math:
Chapter 1 covers whole numbers, decimals and integers.
We will begin with a pretest to decide how to go through the chapter.
We will be using ALEKS again this year.
Details to come…
Science:
Matter and Its Properties
Social Studies:
We cover Iowa Studies first.
We will do an introduction and discuss Native Americans in Iowa these first days.
Music classes are Mondays and Wednesdays this year.
P.E. classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Band:
You should have received an email from Mr. Gosnell about 5th grade band.
He will speak to the class on Friday, August 27, 2010, so more information is forthcoming.
Wish List: I have an older HP printer that needs ink cartriges, Black 15 and Color 78. Thanks!
