Welcome to 2nd grade!
Tuesday, August 30th
Today in reading, we continued our work with sentence structure. In math, we used the order proerty to find the sum. MATH HOMEWORK TONIGHT! In science, we compared living and non-living objects. In religion, we attended our first all school mass.

*On Mondays, your child will bring home their 15 spelling words to study for the week. On the back of their sheet are their high frequency words and amazing words. These words are in their story for the week and just need to be able to be read, not spelled. The list of spelling words will always be at the bottom of the web page in case the words are misplaced at home.
*school pictures are Tuesday, September 14th for grades k,1,2! Your child may come out of uniform on that day!
*please have your child wear tennis shoes on Mondays and Wednesdays, as it is p.e. on those days!
*Library is on Tuesdays! Your child will be able to check out 1 book in their AR level and 1 fun book. They are expected to read 30 minutes each night.
*Mark your calendars! Open house for parents is Thursday, September 9th, at 7pm.
*There is no school on Friday, September 10th, due to a staff development day.
No spelling list next week due to the short week.
