Family Service Project in Celebration of Catholic Schools Week
Feed the Hungry
For Catholic Schools Week this year, St. Augustin families have the privilege and opportunity to contribute to feeding the hungry by volunteering to package for Meals from the Heartland on Saturday, February 3rd at St. Augustin Church. This is not only a fun and excellent way of contributing to improving the lives of those around us, but is also a way to earn service hours for children that need them. Everyone is welcome to sign up for a shift: parents, children, faculty & staff, and parishioners. Our goal is to package 20,000 meals and donate $4000 to Meals from the Heartland to cover the cost of the meals we package. We are asking for a contribution of $10 per time-slot for 200 shifts to cover half of the amount. Blue Compass Interactive has generously donated $2000 towards our project to cover the balance. Imagine the impact we can make!
