Scholastic Logo  Thank you, St. Augustin students and families!  The 2021 Fall Book-fair grossed $5000!  Our best fair ever!  The students were excellent shoppers carefully using their "e-wallets" to make their purchases at the fair.  We will be able to add 50% percent of our profit in books from scholastic!  I am currently pouring over selections from the Scholastic catalog to best meet the needs of our voracious readers!  Thanks again, St. Augustin Families and students!  You're the best!

Library News

The St. Augustin School library is in the process of a multi-phase improvement project to modernize the library.  After a successful fundraising trivia night last spring, and additional contributions from Friends of St. Augustin School, phase one brought new tables and chairs to the library allowing versatile multi-configuration setups for the room.  In addition, the Home and School Association provided funds for an improved catalog system for our reading inventory.  This new addition allows students and parents to search the school library catalog online!  If you would like to support the library improvement project, contributions may be sent to the school office with a check made out to St. Augustin School with "Library Project" written on the memo. Thank you for your support of the school library.

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader (AR) is the most popular and successful reading product of all time. AR’s advanced technology helps:

  • Make essential reading practice more effective for every student.
  • Personalize reading practice to each student’s current level.
  • Build a lifelong love of reading and learning.

All Accelerated Reader quizzes must be taken at school.  These quizzes can be accessed in the classroom, computer lab, or library.  They are taken under the direction of the teacher, teacher associate or librarian.  There are 200,000+ quizzes available and parents can check AR Bookfinder to see if any particular book has a quiz.  If a book is brand new, it may be a week to a month before a quiz is online.
