Meet Mrs. Page
My name is Rachel Page, and I am thrilled to be a part of the St. Augustin community! I taught for 15 years in the Ankeny Community School District, spending most of those years teaching first grade. I grew up in the Des Moines area and knew this was where I wanted to return to start a family of my own.
I graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and later earned a Master of Science in Education from Arkansas State University. I hold endorsements in reading, social studies, and language arts.
What I like most about teaching: Learning is a lifelong passion of mine, and I love watching the natural curiosity of young learners spill into their daily conversations. There is nothing better than hearing thoughtful questions and witnessing the wonder and awe as their little world grows even bigger.
About my family: My husband, TJ, is also originally from Des Moines. We were married in 2015 and have three sweet daughters: Indie, Pippa, and June. We currently live in Ankeny with our golden retriever, Cooper.
Outside of school I enjoy: In my free time, I love spending time with my family, whether we're playing outside, crafting together, or competing in board games. Our favorite weekends are spent at our family's lake house, where we enjoy boating, reading, and relaxing.
